August 20, 2011 Gold and Silver Radio on AM 970 the Apple in New York. Full Broadcast ex Commercial Breaks.
Peter Schiff, CEO of Euro Pacific Capital, joins us this week. Folks, things are not looking so good for the dollar, which will only benefit the price gold which is now close to the doorstep of $2,000 an ounce. We talk about the end game for the dollar coming sooner that most people realize and that despite the recent media hype, the broader population has not participated in the purchase of gold. Peter notes that the "dumb money" has embraced U.S. Treasurys as a haven investment. Oddly, the stock market as measured by the Dow to Gold ratio is signaling that stocks may be close to a bottom that would be supported by Fed money printing, though that same money printing mechanism will mean ever higher prices for gold.
Peter also talks about his new web site: Goldripoffs.com. It's a web site designed to protect consumers from unscrupulous gold dealers.
